Help & FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What is LineRelay?

An AI telephone receptionist. It answers your business line in natural conversation, answers questions from information you have approved, transfers callers to your team when needed, and can send requested details by SMS.

Can it answer in Japanese and English?

Yes. Callers can speak either language, and can switch between them in the middle of the same call. There is no language menu.

Can callers speak normally instead of pressing numbers?

Yes — that is the point. There are no menus and nothing to press. Callers state their business in ordinary words, can interrupt, and the conversation proceeds in short, natural turns.

Can it transfer a caller to a person?

Yes. Anyone who asks for a person is transferred, and your call-handling rules can require a transfer for particular topics.

Can it send information by SMS?

Yes. Directions, links, or details you have approved can be sent to the caller’s mobile phone during or after the call.

What happens to call information and transcripts?

Speech is transcribed and processed in order to respond — to answer, transfer, or send an SMS. The current pilot does not save leads and keeps no persistent customer database inside LineRelay. Third-party providers involved in carrying and processing calls are listed on the Subprocessors page, and more detail is on Security & Data Handling.

Do we have to change our phone number?

In most cases, no. Pilots usually connect through simple call forwarding, so the number your customers know stays the same. The details are reviewed in the first implementation step.

Calls may be answered by an AI receptionist. Your speech may be transcribed and processed to respond to your request, transfer your call, or send requested information by SMS.
